(Valentine) Jello Cookies

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

1 & 3/4  cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 6oz. pkg. strawberry jello**
3/4  cup butter softened
1/2 cup sugar**
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour, baking soda, jello in small bowl
   and set aside
Beat butter and sugar till creamy
Beat in egg and vanilla
Gradually blend in flour mixture till combined
Chill for 1/2 hour.
Roll out on floured surface. Dough might be a
   little sticky
Using heart cookie cutter, cut out and place
   on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 5-7 minutes or until edges just start to
   turn brown ( depends on your oven)
Cool for 2 minutes and place on rack.
Frost if desired

** I used sugar-free/fat-free jello
** I used Splenda instead of sugar (same amount)
I mixed 1/4 cup powered sugar with a little milk
   to frost the cookie
Took out of oven after 41/2 min. (my oven)

Delicious,  found the recipe online

It made for me 18 cookies almost 1/2 inch thick
